On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, GIZ and OECD are organising an online event entitled ”Dialogue on Public Policies for Greening of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” in the framework of the project ”Innovation and Digitalisation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME” that is co-funded by the European Union and Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The event aims to generate a dialogue and ensure specific recommendations on better development of public policies in key areas such as greening, digitalisation and innovation. It will be held from 10:00 to 12:00.

The involvement of a wide range of stakeholders is crucial for the establishment of a platform for an open discussion on key challenges in the field of public policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. GIZ and OECD are therefore inviting the representatives of the public administration, private sector, civil society and experts to apply for the online participation in the dialogue in order to ensure the largest engagement possible involving all parts of the society for a transition towards a greener, more innovative and better linked economy.   

The inclusive dialogue based on conclusions and recommendations of the OECD SME Policy Index 2022 will be opened by Donald Prohaska, Deputy Project Manager of the project ”Innovation and Digitalisation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME”, followed by a presentation by OECD experts on the current state of public policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and key recommendations for their improvement based on the SME Policy Index. Representatives of the Initiative for Green Business from Ireland and Elixir Group from Serbia will also participate in the dialogue and share their experiences and best practices.

The events are organised in the framework of the project ”Innovation and Digitalisation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina” that is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government (BMZ). The goal of the project is economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the digital transformation of business operations. The project is co-funded by the European Union in the framework of the project EU4DigitalSME.
