An online event entitled ”Dialogue on Public Policies for Innovations” will be organised by GIZ and OECD on Thursday, June 08, 2023 in the framework of the project ”Innovation and Digitalisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME”. The event aims to ensure a dialogue and specific recommendations on how to design better public policies in key areas, such as greening, digitalisation and innovation. The event will take place from 10:00 to 12:00.     

The establishment of a platform for an open discussion on key challenges in the field of public policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina depends on the involvement of a wide range of stakeholders. GIZ and OECD are therefore inviting the representatives of the public administration, private sector, civil society and experts to register for their online participation in the Dialogue on Public Policies for Innovations in order to ensure the greatest possible engagement of all parts of the society in the transition towards a greener, more innovative and better connected economy.

The inclusive dialogue based on conclusions and recommendations of the OECD SME Policy Index 2022 will be opened by Donald Prohaska, Deputy Manager of the project ”Innovation and Digitalisation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME”, followed by a presentation by OECD experts about the current state of affairs in the area of public policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and key recommendations for their improvement based on the SME Policy Index. A representative of the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia will also participate in the dialogue and will share the experiences of this institution in the field of innovation.

These events are organised in the framework of the project “Innovation and Digitalisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina” that is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government (BMZ). The project aims to develop the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the digital transformation of business operations. The project is co-funded by the European Union in the framework of the project EU4DigitalSME.
